Whilst little to no progress has been made on the coding of this site progress has been made in increasing my productivity and improving my CV.
I’m a recent addition to the Crymod Staff Team finding and writing news articles for Cryteks official modding portal. It’s been an honour and a pleasure to meet with the people who work behind the scenes on that site and I am really enjoying contributing.
I will continue coding the blog and portfolio pages next week before starting work on a portfolio piece to be proud of. It’s pretty hard to gain the interest of game dev recruiters when you have little to nothing to show.
Hopefully once all pages have been coded and I have a portfolio piece and a tutorial which is already up I will polish the website before putting much of my spare time into expanding the portfolio to an employable stage.
In the meantime I intend to continue focussing on Crymod contributions, learning French, losing weight and increasing fitness along with finding some form of full time employment!
Hopefully by this time next year I’ll be fit, healthy, bi lingual, ‘debt free’ and working somewhere in the games industry as an environment artist. That’s the plan anyway!
